Whether your need is for a small business lawyer for your new start-up or fledgling business, or for a lawyer who is equipped to advise your mature established business and to assist you with the acquisition of an existing business, or your company has grown large and complex, Jim Snow can provide the legal services needed by your business, and where a specialist, such as securities counsel or federal patent or trademark registration counsel is required, Jim has contacts with larger firms and boutique firms which can be associated or to which referrals can be made for those needs, at significant cost savings over using those firms for the matters which can be competently handled locally.

Jim Snow is also able to assist you with all aspects of real estate law, including purchases and sales of residential and commercial real property,  and can coordinate with your broker or if your purchase or sale is “For Sale by Owner” (FSBO), and Jim loves working with first time home-buyers.   Jim Snow can  also assist you with leasing of residential and commercial real property, whether you are a landlord or a tenant.  Closing  or Settlement Agent services for both purchases and sales and for mortgage financing secured by real property, including residential and commercial refinancing,  are a significant part of Jim’s practice.  Jim has represented a number of builders in the preparation of construction contracts and with regard to the issues which can arise during construction and after completion of construction, and has represented numerous real estate developers at all stages of real estate development, from formation of the contract to acquire land for development through subdivision, including zoning and land use ordinance issues, review of subdivision maps and coordination with surveyors and land use planners, drafting of contracts for the retail sale of lots, including lot sale and construction contracts, and issues which may arise with contractors and subcontractors providing real estate development and construction services.

Jim also provides a variety of office practice services including drafting of wills, living wills (declarations of desire for natural death), health care powers of attorney, powers of attorney ( including general, special, limited, and durable powers of attorney), trusts where appropriate, estate administration and probate.  The firm has available other attorneys who can provide estate tax planning services.
